Salons for Professionals

Thinking deeply with Houston

“All humans, by nature, desire to know.” -Aristotle’s Metaphysics, Book 1, Ch. 1

Inquiry, learning, study, reading, writing, the drama in search of the question, “What is reality?” should not be confined to the first two decades of life. Our formal education is often only a preparation for our informal education, which is personal and lifelong. In order to promote this lifelong pursuit of truth, we have added monthly Salons for the working professionals of Houston.

Like our students reading groups, these Salons are oriented towards seeking the truth in whatever topic is discussed that month. All college graduates are welcome from those in their late twenties to those in their late eighties. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks are provided as we read, listen, and discuss the best way to live, with our ultimate goal in mind: to invigorate the minds and hearts of Houston.
