Monique has degrees in Accounting and Finance. She worked five years as an internal Auditor for Browning Ferris Industries (BFI), where she trained in assessing internal controls and headed multiple international audits as a senior auditor. She then worked at BFI Europe, headquartered in Utrecht, Netherlands, for two years establishing accounting and internal control systems for offices throughout Europe. Upon returning to the US, she worked for five years as the controller for Inverworld Industries, an international investment banking firm. She has been controller for Houston Institute since October 2017.
