CanaVox

A cheerful marriage movement

Philosophy, social science, and personal stories on marriage, family, friendship, & happiness

CanaVox is a cheerful marriage movement that supports the historic understanding of marriage and sexuality based on (i) natural law philosophy–which integrates the thought of thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Cicero, and Aquinas–(ii) social science and (iii) personal stories. During our meetings, we will discuss questions such as:

  • How should I think about dating?
  • How is a deep friendship different from a dating or marriage relationship?
  • How should I think about the hookup culture on campus?
  • What is marriage and why does it matter for individuals, children, and societies?
  • How does pornography affect the brain? Human relationships? The world?
  • How can living a proper understanding of sexuality help me live a happier life?

For information on CanaVox cheer points, see here. The goal of these meetings is for all participants to engage in a thoughtful, friendly, group dialogue about the topics at hand. Any undergraduate or grad student committed to genuine conversation in a spirit of friendship and truth-seeking is welcome.
